Hone Dragon no Mana Musume Set for 2027 with Kana Hanazawa and Kazuhiko Inoue

Even as a skeleton, the dragon will not leave his daughter! The official site announced October 8 that the TV anime *Hone Dragon no Mana Musume*, adapting Ichi Yukishiro’s manga, will air in 2027.

A first main visual and first main promotional video were released the same day. The video is on KADOKAWAanime’s official YouTube channel.

A Journey to Find Connections, Money, and Health

The story begins in the Forest of Discards, where everything is thrown away. An elderly dragon named Nem, nearing the end of his life, finds abandoned young Eve and raises her. Nem eventually dies, but Eve summons his soul and he returns as a “bone dragon.”

Concerned for Eve’s future, Nem sets out with her for human society. They seek three things needed to live among people: connections, money, and good health. Nem also searches for his own children across the land to build bonds between Eve and her dragon siblings.

Their Voices

Kana Hanazawa plays Eve, a hungry girl with a somewhat wild side. Kazuhiko Inoue plays Nem, her dragon foster parent, described by the official site as having many children.

Inoue called the work heartwarming just to watch and joked that, as someone always sleepy, he may be especially suited to the role.

Staff

Kuniyasu Nishina directs, Yuka Yamada handles series composition, Tomoya Atsumi designs the characters, and Doga Kobo produces the animation. The manga runs on Mag Garden’s Mag Comi and has six volumes. Stations and a more precise date remain unannounced.
