Synopsis
かつて人間と妖怪が共に暮らしていた桃源郷。500年前に封じられた大妖怪・牛魔王を、禁忌の化学と妖術の合成によってよみがえらせようとする者が現れ、その影響で妖怪たちは自我を失い人間を襲い始める。事態を憂えた観世音菩薩の命を受け、玄奘三蔵は孫悟空、沙悟浄、猪八戒とともに、牛魔王の蘇生を阻むため西への旅に出る。
