Synopsis
In the thirteenth century, Milo, the son of a court painter, paints a portrait of his childhood friend Princess Claire in a stone castle on an island in a lake. Bored one day, Claire leaves the castle for the Lost Forest and is drawn into a strange opening in space-time. In the present, Nobita and his friends use the Entering Light gadget to enter paintings for ideas for a school assignment. After Nobita gives up on his painting and tosses an eraser toward the ceiling, it disappears through a sudden opening and a painting falls in its place. The painting depicts a bat whose colors shift like a hologram. Doraemon and Nobita enter it to meet the girl shown there, but Claire accidentally steps out through the gadget's exit into Nobita's room. Meanwhile, a news report says the painting's blue pigment cannot be recreated today and that a stone capable of producing the color would be worth more than diamonds.
