Naruto and Fusuke are sharing the screen! The completely new *Naruto* anime has been revealed as a crossover with Koji Kiriyama’s *Ninku*, titled *Naruto × Ninku*. Announced onstage at New York Comic Con on October 11 Japan time, it now has a special official site page and a teaser on the NARUTO/BORUTO official YouTube channel.
The Story
The leads are Team 7 from Naruto’s youth. Kakashi entrusts them with a mission and names Naruto acting captain. But Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura wander into another world, where they meet Fusuke, a boy with a frog-like face.
The entirely new four-episode story is supervised by Koji Kiriyama and Masashi Kishimoto.
The Creators Speak
Kishimoto wrote that *Naruto* was created under the strong influence of *Ninku*.
Without *Ninku*, *Naruto* would not exist.
Kiriyama said he was honored by the “miracle” that began with Kishimoto’s proposal.
Cast and Staff
Junko Takeuchi plays Naruto, Noriaki Sugiyama plays Sasuke, Chie Nakamura plays Sakura, and Kazuhiko Inoue plays Kakashi. On the *Ninku* side, Rica Matsumoto returns as Fusuke, joined by Mitsuaki Madono, Jurota Kosugi, Megumi Hayashibara, and Katsumi Suzuki. Noriyuki Abe directs, Tetsuya Nishio designs the characters, and PIERROT FILMS produces the animation. The official site lists FLOW’s “GO!!!” and “Viva★Rock” as theme songs.
